Albany Primary School need some school community members to support the Your Move student team to promote walking, riding and bus travel to school. A job description form has been created and will be presented at our next Parents & Citizens meeting. Personal invitations will be sent to those who would be perfect for the role!

"Buttering up" is also a good tactic, Michelle. YM use the term Champion; it does have a nice ring to it! Do the student team have anyone in mind? Positive persuasion is a powerful tool. Wishing you well.

Hi Arlene, thank you for the tips. I have used the term 'champion' in the document that I have composed. I have a few individuals that I have already spoken to, but there needs to be a 'critical mass' to get them on board. I feel tentatively confident..

Confident is good, Michelle! Have the students had input into the document? How about inviting prospective champions to a YM session to meet & chat with your Team? (they'll either be scared off but more likely if they are the right "fit" will be clamouring to get involved!) There are so many good things to emanate from working with a YM student group. It is a win/win. Wishing the Team well.

Nice advice from Arlene here! And yes good luck attracted the right people Michelle. Add the 'harness volunteer power' Activity under 'Be Strategic' to earn a big bucket of points https://yourmove.org.au/activities/
