Term 4 Green Team planning meeting

Today we held our first Green Team meeting at lunch time and started our planning for Term 4. As usual, we had almost a whole class full of motivated Green Teamers attend without any reminder after the 2 week holidays - how amazing are these kids!?

On the agenda this term we have 2 x Footprint Fridays to run, new logo t-shirts to finalise and order which showcase our commitment to Your Move and implementing an active travel culture at our college, a new fundraising event called 'Green Day' to plan for early next year, as well as a newly introduced competition.

The new competition commencing this term is our YM Spot Prize Mornings. This is the notice that will be going out every morning in our daily notices to remind and encourage our students to walk and ride to school this term. We will also have this posted on our facebook page in the next couple of days so the message gets our to parents and families to promote the competition.

Your Move Spot Prizes

For the next 5 weeks, the Green Team will be giving out a spot prize every Thursday morning to one lucky student each week who walks or rides to school. The spot prizes will be $50 gift vouchers, so make sure you are actively travelling to school this term to be in with a chance to win some free spending!

Fine print: You must be wearing a helmet if you are riding, you must enter through the student gates (not the teachers carparks), and you must arrive at school before 8:25am. Prizes will be given between 7:45-8:25.

Also look out for our BSC footpath stencils which tell you the time and distance to get to school and our Access Guide which shows the common walking/riding routes from your location in Baldivis.

James (Your Move)

Hi Jess, another jam packed meeting and term at Baldivis - great to see! Make sure you give us an update on your FPFs and Spot Prizes when they happen. For now you have received points for your Term 4 meeting(s), your promotion of AT via Facebook and other media, and also for distributing your access maps (plus a bonus 10 points for keeping us well informed with lots of rich details).
