Since TravelSmart days, for the first time, I have attended 'Your Move Forum' on Tuesday, 20 November 2018 held at Department of Transport in Perth CBD. Since 2015, Bannister Creek had been participating in the Walk to School Program through TravelSmart but there was no official participation in posting news articles and photos of our activities in the website. Every Wednesday until Term 4 last year, the school gave tokens to each student who walked or cycled to school. The tokens are drawn before lunch every Wednesday where the winners received rewards and their names are announced in the school PA system. Occasionally, once they entered the school grounds, besides the tokens, the students received donated free carton of milk or cut-up fruit distributed by Eco Warriors. The recent forum motivated me to extend our school activities by posting articles and photos at Your Move website. Besides getting the Reward points, our school can share with others the sustainability initiatives that are happening at BCPS. I have shared the fun and info I gathered from this forum to my colleagues. We are in the process of creating a Your Move team.

Hey Alicia! It was great to see you at the Earth Day expo on Friday. I enjoyed meeting some of your enthusiastic Eco Warriors too. Thanks for sharing what has happened since you attended the forum last year and we hope to see you back again at a forum in 2019!
