From Novice to Cycling Converts

In 2017 six City of Armadale staff participated in the E Bike trial run by Switch Your Thinking. Although mostly novice cyclists, by the end of the trial the group were commuter cycling converts. Two staff members purchased their own bicycles to continue their active journey to work and the others have continued to cycle recreationally. We are planning to run some cycle skills workshops in 2018 and hope to see more staff pushing their pedals.

'One rider at a time' is my unoffical moto so it is great to hear you had two commuter converts at the end of your Ebike trial. Good luck with your cycle skills workshop and remember you can use your points to book a Bike Dr session in our online shop.

Great work. Albany working with RAC did something similar and then we have signed up to allow staff to salary sacrifice to lease a EBike which removes the barrier of cost in purchasing an EBike.

Hello, As part of our half year story review your points have been adjusted. We have added some activity points for providing e-bike training for staff and giving them an opportunity to give it a go.
