E-bikes for lease at Swan!

Emma Fensom

Late last year, the City of Swan championed a partnership between Paywise and E-stralian to make electric bikes available to staff through salary sacrifice. Paywise offers a novated lease arrangement whereby payments are made in conjunction with fortnightly wages. Originating in Melbourne, E-stralian now facilitates the lease of a wide range of e-bikes styles and top brands in Perth. This employee benefit initiative not only saves money on the cost a of bike over the lease term but makes sustainable and active transport more accessible for everyone. E-bikes are attracting a lot of interest at Swan among regular cyclists with our hope being that we can encourage more people take up riding to work on an e-bike. Please feel free to contact us at Swan for more information!

Kylie (Your Move)

Hi Emma, thanks for the update. Swan is the first metropolitan local government I've heard of offering this option to staff. We'd love to hear how it goes. So please give us an update at the end of the year about uptake and staff experiences. And a question for the broader Your Move community - does your workplace off this option? Providing staff with this option earns 80 Your Move activity points.
