Final prep for Ride2School Day

Staff and students at Redcliffe Primary School have had a busy couple of weeks preparing for Ride2School Day. Each year, for the past couple years, we have run a number of activities throughout Ride2School day. This year we've stepped it up a notch!

In previous years we have run an off-road skills track where students help carve out a track at the back of the school. This year we've started to build our own obstacles using recycled timber and doubled the size of the track.

On Ride2School day we will be running the off-road skills track, scooter and skater drills, and the annual Tour of Redcliffe bike race (which is open to all students between year 1 and 6).

We'd like to thank the City of Belmont for generously donating a number of prizes and the local bike shops for looking after us with bits and pieces.

We're really looking forward to Ride2School Day 2019!

Well done Dean for publishing your first YM story! That has earned you 12 activity points, plus I've given you a bonus 10 points for your detailed outline of your R2SD plans. Your wooded obstacles intrigue me - I'm looking forward to seeing some photos of them in action on the day. Make sure you update us after the day so you can get rewarded for all the activities carried out!
