Imagine having your favourite PDF maps in your pocket. This app is an absolutely must have for anyone who lives in the Perth metro area and wants to discover new walking trails, cycle paths and public transport routes. Avenza PDF Maps is a powerful, award-winning offline map viewer with an integrated map store to find, purchase and download new professionally created maps for a wide variety of uses.
Once downloaded, Go to the Store - Click on "Find Maps" and you'll see all the maps available near your current location. Click on the placemarks, or on "List view" to see more info about the maps, then download maps to your device by clicking the "Free" button.
Once installed, open up the map and you'll see where you are now with a blue dot on the map. Maps are stored on your device and are always available even when your not connected to the Internet. You can download them either at home or while your on the road and once downloaded, you don't use any data when your out and about viewing the map, so it's a great way to avoid data roaming charges when travelling.
