The Your Move Team have developed innovative ground based wayfinding signs to promote walking and cycling for short trips to local destinations. These wayfinding signs have been installed in the Cities of Cockburn, Wanneroo, Rockingham and Vincent.
To keep the look and feel consistent across Perth, Your Move provides support and advice to local governments so that they can roll out this innovative wayfinding signage around schools and in their local community. You need to have earned 300 Your Move points to be eligible to access our support, artwork and the databases needed to create the artwork for a maximum of 200 signs.
Your Move makes it easy
If your local government is registered on our website then you can use your redeemable points in our ‘online rewards shop’ to book our support to help you create your own set of on the ground wayfinding signs.
Please Note: The Your Move LGA wayfinding service does not provide budget towards the signage printing or installation, so you will need to budget for this yourself. The Your Move team provides access to expert support, advice and the database needed to inform the creation of the signage artwork for a maximum of 200 signs.
Earn points to unlock the Local Government Wayfinding Service
You need to earn 300 Your Move points on the website to unlock our Local Government Wayfinding Service. Earning points is easy, just share stories of activities you are doing to encourage active travel at your workplace. If you are looking for some inspiration check out our list of the top five activities for workplaces. You can also earn points by completing a workplace travel survey and by attending one of our quarterly workplace forums.
When you’ve earned the 300 points necessary to unlock the wayfinding service, simply go to the ‘Rewards Shop’, search for ‘Local Government Wayfinding Service’ and click ‘Add to cart.’
The Your Move team will then work with you to create a Google map and populate a special database that will then merge with our InDesign template to automatically create the signage information. Read about that process in our handy How to Guide.
