It has taken a while but we are finally ready to begin in earnest for the year with our 2018 student team selected and ready to start.
Waggrakine Primary School's stories
The team is busy each Wednesday greeting participants with a welcoming smile.
We have had a bit of a late start but we now have our team organised and commenced our activities today. We have a great team of Year 6 students who were very organised and proficient. 70 students participated today and with continued publicity we expect numbers to rise next term. We will get photos of the action early next term.
Our Travel Smart team has been selected for 2016 and we held our first'Why Not Wednesday' day today with 103 participants who either walked, skated, rode, scooted or caught the bus to school. A fantastic start to the year.
Waggrakine Primary School is a growing school in the north and north eastern suburbs of Geraldton. The school population is around 545 students from K to Year 6. Aboriginal students make up 25% of our cohort. We are serviced by a number of school buses servicing areas to the north and east of the school.
