Taihleia continues:

On Wednesday, the WPS YM members went to Mandurah. First, all the schools had to get their name badges. The badge had your name & your group. The groups were the Aboriginal seasons. My group was Bunuru. We started the day with the Eco-busters show by Meadow Springs PS. I found out my cousin was in the show. Then we split into our groups for different activities. Most activities were about recycling. I also found my friend from dancing. She was in my group. I also made a friend from the YM Team from Baldivis Secondary College. They call their team the Green Team. Her name is Talesha. My favourite part of the day was making key rings & magnets out of milk cartons. I had so much fun!

On Thursday, we went to the Baldivis Children's Forest. While we were waiting for the bus we saw lots of cars parking in the bus bay. (We made sure to remind parents at Assembly the next day that the bus bay is for buses!) When we got there we had to walk up a big hill. Then everyone went to the ampitheatre where there was a show of singing & dancing by some New Zealand children. From there we split into our groups. We first made bee hotels followed by some other activities. Towards the end of the day we met back at the ampitheatre to say our thank yous for the day's activities. We walked back down the hill & caught the bus back to school. I hope that we get to do this again next year. It was so fun! It was the best!
