NWS2SD The planning so far

The TS Team is preparing hosted walks from the Currie St & Warnbro Sound Ave Guarded Crossings. We have invited Jessica Sankey (City of Rockingham Community Development Officer), Paul Papalia (MLA for Warnbro), the P&C President, COR Councillors, & our Principal & Deputy Principal.

We will be at either  one or the other Guarded Crossings for the walks.

This Friday is National Walk Safely to School Day.This is our 3rd year of helping with NWS2SD, but the TravelWise Team (adult TSers) has been  organizing walks since 2009. The Pedestrian Council of Australia has been running NWS2SD for 17 years. There will be a lucky dip  full of TS prizes at each of our hosted walks. We will also be giving out stickers.

We are doing NWS2SD to promote Active Transport. Also to make kids happy & to make walking fun.

At our hosted walks we will be handing out stickers to everyone choosing Active Transport. From the  hosted walk lists we will draw 2 names for  NWS2SD prize packs made up of TS goodies. We will be serving fruit & vegetable platters at recess time.

We are promoting the event by posters in classes & around the school, assembly messages and lots of talk!
