This morning the Team presented a YM introduction at Assembly. Following is part of the presentation:
Good morning, everyone & welcome to YM for 2020. We intend on making our MOVES count!...Each fortnight we will present the Warnbro Walker Award to the Junior & Middle/Senior class with the best Active Transport participation rate. Active Transport means coming to school by walking, cycling, scootering or catching public transport. This also means with fewer cars, our streets are SAFER for us.
If you must come by car, have your parents drop you at one of the Guarded Crossings either end of Axminster Rd & WALK the rest of the way. You will feel so much better for that walk!
During the year we will run events & campaigns to encourage YOUR MOVES. We will keep you up to date with information about these. This term we have a number of events in Bike Week such as Decorate Your Wheels, Wheeling Wednesday, Ride 2 School Day & Ride Run Obstacle Fun.
Of course our Warnbro Walker campaign, which is in its 7th year, happens every Toesday.
