Presentation ceremony for Platinum Accreditation at Honeywood Primary

What a fantastic start to 2024 with a celebration of Your Move achievements in 2023! Our schools’ effort since we joined the program in 2018, means we have earnt our sixth Your Move accreditation- a Platinum accreditation!

Just a few of our achievements include hosting a hugely popular Walk to School event combined with a Dress Up your Bike/Scooter red carpet event. Installation of bike racks for children and adults across the school to encourage families to ride with their children to school. Bike maintenance stands in the school, bike repair days, bike education and increasing our Wheels Days from 1 day a week to every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

We also have a fantastic bike track in the Early Childhood Area and Primary area with pedestrian crossing and road safety signage to increase active play time and knowledge of road safety usage.

To acknowledge this result, and to celebrate our achievements with our school community, we have displayed our second Your Move sign on our front office wall on our school grounds. This is to display our accreditation badge and advertise that we are a Your Move school and to show the importance we place on the active and healthy Your Move message.
