The start of the school year is the perfect time to pause, check in and get organised. A little planning now will make participation easier, help you maximise reward points and set your school up to reach its target accreditation level.

✅ Update your list of Champions
Make sure your Champion list is up to date so the right people can access your school dashboard, plan activities, post stories and receive email updates.
💡 New Champions joining your team?
Download the Your Move Champions Guide, set up a short meeting to introduce Your Move and post a welcome story to kick off the year.
💡 New to Your Move?
Don’t forget to register for an Onboarding session with our team to get started with confidence. Write a story and earn 50 reward points.

Do you have a target accreditation level this year? Want to know how many reward points you could earn?
Use the online Activity Planner to map out activities by term, see which accreditation level you could reach and track potential points across the year. You can also download and print out a copy of the Activities List.

The Hands Up Survey helps you understand how students travel to school and provides a valuable baseline for the year.
Your Term 1 survey is your Start-of-Year Hands Up Survey and helps keep your school eligible for Connecting Schools Grant funding and other Your Move opportunities.
We recommend running your Start-of-Year survey on a non event day, without advance notice to students or parents. Later in the year, run another survey during an active travel event to see what’s possible at your school.

Consider adding new Champions, contributors and a Your Move student team.
Getting organised now makes it easier to stay engaged, earn points and celebrate success throughout the year. We can’t wait to support your school in another active year with Your Move.
