Before the year comes to an end, we invite you to submit expressions of interest for Your Move initiatives that will be on offer next year.
Your expressions of interest will help us plan for another fantastic year of the Your Move program.
Bike education
Bike education gives students confidence to ride to school. It teaches children the skills to ride safely, builds road awareness and helps establish healthy habits for life.
Bike education can be taught students of all abilities from 8 years of age, and is usually in one hour sessions across four weeks for classes of up to 32 students.
Find out more and submit an EOI on the Bike Education resource page.
Your Move Leadership Labs
Your Move Leadership Labs are immersive two-day excursions that give a group students in years 4 to 6 an opportunity to work collaboratively to design a creative and inspiring project that will increase active travel within their school community.
Each Leadership Lab includes a series of engaging workshops, where teams of students explore some of the barriers, opportunities and benefits around active transport, and then work together to design their own initiative to implement at their school.

Safe Routes to School Access Guides
A Safe Routes to School Access Guide is a leaflet that maps four to five safe and popular walking, wheeling and riding routes to your school.
The map also includes local amenities, ‘park and walk’ locations, walking bus starting points, locations of school bike parking, high traffic areas, crossing guard locations and local walking and riding infrastructure. The Your Move team works with WestCycle to generate the guides, identifying the routes, and then seeks review and input from the school and local government area.
An access Guide is a great way to encourage students to walk, wheel and ride to school more often.
