Luminocity - Night Ride Perth

Join Bicycling Western Australia and ride to illuminate the streets of Perth Saturday, 17 February 2018.

Ride to shine a light on Cycling Without Age when we ride the night visiting some of Perth’s most iconic locations and landmarks, all with regular stops for entertainment, food, music and more.

The action lights up at Riley Oval, The University of Western Australia from 8pm where hundreds of riders get set to take to the streets of our city.

SmartRiders for everyone!

Untitled.png

Our workplace was ready to spend some points on the Your Move online shop. We all gathered for a quick chat to brainstorm the best possible way to utilise the points (we already have lots of bike things).

We have workplace SmartRiders for meetings but we ordered some for our lovely volunteers. As a not for profit volunteers are heavily relied upon and it's a super nice gesture and thank you to offer free travel.

The purchase is promoting volunteers to use multiple modes of active travel to get to our workplace vs a car.

Hold a Ride2Work Day Event

We are getting excited for Ride2Work Day Wednesday, 18 October 2017 and we hope you are too!

We realise not everyone can make it into the Perth CBD to celebrate the Ride2Work Day Breakfast. Why not do something for your staff and work colleagues and host a workplace event? It’s easy to host a workplace event, it could be a tasty breakfast or scrumptious morning tea – just make sure everyone knows about it.

Don't make your celebrations just for the bike riders in the office, invite all the staff to join in, that way you can share your riding experiences. You never know you might even convert a couple of people to join your next ride into the office. Make sure everyone REGISTERS for Ride2Work Day.

Check out our guide to holding a workplace Ride2Work Day Event Here.

Bicycling Western Australia is super excited to be a Your Move Workplace!

This morning we learnt about all of the snazzy features on the website with Kylie and Justine from the Your Move team.

We are thrilled to be working with Your Move for Ride2Work Day (Wednesday, 18 October 2017). Riding a bike to work is a great way to include physical exercise into your daily routine. Whether you cycle the whole way to work, or combine it with public transport, the benefits are numerous.

Encouraging your colleagues to ride to work and participate in Ride2Work Day is a great way to improve the health of your employees, increase productivity, reduce absenteeism all while demonstrating environmental and community awareness.

Watch this space! Registrations for Ride2Work Day will be open very shortly.
