Bike Safety (1)

Year 5 students completed a quiz about bicycle safety and found there were many areas they were unsure about. They then researched and shared the answers.

Students were surprised to learn that people of any age in WA are allowed to ride their bikes on the footpath (laws changed in 2016) and that their bikes should be fitted with lights and reflectors.

Several students have discussed adding bells and reflectors to their bikes to ensure they are safe.
