At Piara Waters Primary School we have the most amazing school leaders. Every Wednesday, they come to school extra early, don a high viz jacket and encourage all of the students of Piara to walk, ride or scoot to school! Every student who scoots, rides or walks to school receives a raffle ticket to be in the draw to win a fabulous prize. We have seen a big increase in the number of students making the change to stay healthy!
At Piara Waters Primary School our amazing Phys Ed teachers commit to keeping us in peak physical condition! Every Tuesday, our teachers and a large, keen group of students, assemble on the oval for Running Club. Our fantastic students run laps of the oval and use a QR code to record their individual laps. We can't wait until our Cross Country Carnival to see how our training has improved our performance.

Great to hear that your regular Wednesday active travel days are in full swing - you have earned 90 points for this Term 2 update (you can get 90 points for each Term that you give us an update on your regular AT day). Here a little idea to help you earn points from your Cross County - you can make it count as a Your Move event if there is an explicit active travel element. For example you could encourage students to warm up by walking or riding to school. You could even get staff involved - perhaps from a designated local 'park and walk' location!
